Powder Coating
Powder coating is a safe, dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin to create a protective finish. We choose to powder coat our steel frames because it is low in toxicity and has low flammability. The powder coating is then evenly melted and cooled into a thin, durable film. Powder coating can maintain its finish for up to 15-20 years, depending on pre-treatment and the type of powder. Its resistance to weather, corrosion, and chemicals makes powder coating a more durable finish than paint or other liquid coatings.

Alternatively, you can go for artificial aging in an oven. Essentially, the aging process design is to ensure there is uniform precipitation of fine particles through the metal.

Not the greatest pic, but its tough to find one since the hardware isn’t often shown in detail.  These often leave a gap between the rail and post, are tough to get straight, give it a cheaper modular look and draw your eye to them in a not-good way.  Counter to that, our Stronghold Iron uses a stronger and cleaner looking cast-iron solid bracket that mounts inline of the fence post.  This tucks the hardware and keeps it off the face of the fence line.  This gives the look of a more authentic iron fence that was often welded together 100+ years ago.  Here are some photos of our standard iron fence bracket:

Additionally, powder coated aluminum profiles for windows and doors can withstand corrosion and other harsh environmental conditions.

Fixed window profiles are used for windows that do not need to be opened. They are often used in combination with other types of windows to provide natural light and aesthetic appeal.

Despite these advantages, metal taps can be more expensive and may require more effort during installation due to their weight and complexity. Moreover, certain metals are susceptible to corrosion, especially in harsh environments, necessitating the use of protective coatings or alloys.
